Mens talk

 Men's talk Play let go

Play it's your season

Joseph had a dream that he shared with his brothers. They, in a jeolous rage tossed him into a well, but feeling guilty decided instead to sell him off into slavery. Then, as a slave he was once again betrayed because he would not violate his moral code was cast into a dungeon, and it was in that dungeon that Joseph saw his dream fulfilled. His dream was fulfilled as he operated in his gifts and worked to help others realize their dreams. It's your season, what are you waiting for.

Where does one find hope in the abyss? It’s everywhere. In the cry of a newborn babe. In the eyes of a grandmother. It's in the laughter of kids playing in the streets. It's in the stooped back of a worker watching them. It's in the blackbird that sings to greet the morning dew, the roses in bloom. It's the rhythm of bees swarming the dahlias; it's the crescent moon. It's the way the sun smiles as it sets. It is waking up to a new day. It's you ..right now

God will take you to a place where all your friends are MIA, and you can't depend on positions or influence. In the Valley of despair, He shows up and delivers you. So you know with certainty... But God....

Play its your season

Isaiah 53:5-8

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Play be blessed

Know how to trap a monkey...put a shiny bauble in a wooden cage, stake the cage to a tree then wait. With time the monkey will come down from the tree, see the bauble, and reach in the cage to grab it. Then when it tries to remove it's hand it can't get through the bars of the cage. With a bit of common sense the monkey might see that all it has to do is let go the bauble then it can remove it's hand. But the monkey, you see wants the shiny thing. What's got you trapped...don't you know all you need to do is "Let it go II"

Play ..thank you.

Everyday, every hour, and every moment -events take shape. Some for our good, some that reminds us of our fragility, and others that simply remind us that we are not in charge of our destinies. Regardless of this, how we ultimately choose to react is important. Nothing is all good or all bad, in most cases it is rather gray or even just a hint of gray. It is up to us to fill in the colors. Shall we paint rainbows or clouds, shall we see possibilities or problems? I choose rainbows and possibilities....Rodney D. Coates ///

Play something about the name Jesus

Our past should be our guide not our prison, our failures help us understand our limitations not our weaknesses, our mistakes should teach us wisdom not be a constant source of shame...we rise up, we fight strong, we walk by faith, with our heads held high...no condemnation...just redemption...

Play he's been good

Never get so caught up in you now that your forget your then...when you learned the real meaning of life...when you understood the real purpose for your being...

Walking in faith and wisdom...you became more than an overcomer, you became victorious..even as many were counting you out...you rose up from the ashes of past failures...you began to fly like an eagle..you ran and did not get tired..

As you realize that you have made it through another day..another challenge..another victory......you know it's another one of those

And with that newfound wisdom..you began to chart a new path...a new day was about to dawn in your life...

Play it could've been worse

But some sit- angry, bitter, and frustrated with their life. Wallowing in self-pity and regrets. Reliving everything that has gone wrong in their life, remembering ever hurt and disappointment. Rather then mourn the past, change your present. Else, ten years from now you will look back and despair over how again you failed to seize the moment.

Those times when you thought you had lost everything..then you looked past your circumstance...and realized that what you lost was nothing...but what you gained...was wisdom...

Play. ALL I NEED

Late in the day, all the crap has washed away, all the stuff that could have drug you down ..was for naught...and in this special moment of victory..go ahead and "Say Yeah"

Right, nobody had your back, nothing but an awesome God saw you through...and in this moment..."Say Yeah

Yep past all the obstacles, past all the bull s.., past all the negativity, you did it your way, you survived...and you "Say Yeah

They played you for a chump, did not know that you were raised to be a champion, raised on a diet of success, bred to overcome, failure was never an option...and you can certainly

Go no further

There is a miracle with your name on it. Will you claim it?

Know Who you are not what you are

File under a little knowledge is a dangerous thing:

So many folks think all it takes to be black is to put on some African inspired garb, made in china, spout some notions of Afro-centricity, from folks that have never been to Africa or apparently the hood, and change their name to Kunta Kente. Black is not about form but substance, it is not about externalization but internalization, it is not about perpetrating but representing. Strange our grandparents and their parents knew this, lived this, and essentialized this. Perhaps we need to study them a bit more, and ignore the "black" fad- or is it flavor of the week..

 Go No Farther

All the signs say the same

Born on the wrong side of the shade

Too many obstacles in your way

Give up, stay down, remember don't speak

Trapped in your place, in that space, in the dark

Who made the rules

Who wrote them down

Who stipulated failure

Who denied the path

Walk through the tangled roots

Play your horn, toot your flute

Cling to the hopes of yesterday

Follow the path your heart decrees

Find the place where the sun shines

Continue past the signs that denies

Go as far as your dreams float

Past the sign that says

Go no farther.

Bridges over troubled waters

Friends are those that celebrate your victories, enemies ignore them. Friends hold you accountable, enemies encourage you to screw up. Friends are there when things go wrong, enemies plan parties to celebrate. Friends welcome you, enemies forsake you. Friends cry when you mourn, enemies could care less......Friends know ...Every Praise.....belongs to God..

Dreams not fears should guide you

Dreams Return

by Rodney

What happens when dreams return?

Do they sparkle with hope and glisten with song

Do they prance along voyeuristic roads?

Where wonder and surprise forever unfold.

What happens when dreams return?

Do they fill cups with promise and souls with laughter?

Do they shatter despair and vanquish frustration

Where each day overflows with possibilities.

Or do they point the way to unbridled futures?

Don't give up or in ... hold on to your dreams....

Pursue them with passionate determination

Nurture them diligently with excellence and resolve

Keep getting up till your dreams become reality.

Then, dream a new dream as dreams return.
